January 22 has for a while been our best guess for the Samsung Galaxy S25 release date, with multiple rumors pointing to that date, and now a third has chimed in with the same date – and even the exact start time of the launch event.
Samsung is expected to bring out its S25 lineup in January along with the much anticipated Galaxy XR headset. While there is still some time before the official release, a renowned analyst gives us some salient information about the Galaxy S25 Ultra's color options and also the production volume.

If this report is true, you can replace “S24” with “S25” in the table above and those will be the prices. Of course, Samsung will have a launch promo, which is traditionally a free storage upgrade, so at least early on, the prices above will be for the 256GB S25 and 512GB S25+ and S25 Ultra.
They claim that we’ll see the Samsung Galaxy S25 itself at this event, along with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a teaser for Samsung’s XR headset.
In any case, we’d take this release date information with a pinch of salt, but since it comes from a reputable source and lines up with previous tips, we’re now fairly confident of the January 22 date.
As per Ross Young's post on X, it is expected that the S25 Ultra will be offered in seven Titanium colors. Samsung's prioritization of shades according to user preference and demand allows the company to offer popular colors but also cater to those who look for exclusivity. According to the post, the most produced color would be Titanium Black, and the company prioritizing this tone makes sense, given that it is generally a highly demanded option.
If you look at Samsung's color options for the S25 Ultra this time around, it is different from its previous offering especially, especially with greater emphasis on exclusivity. While the leaked renders have so far showcased the model in black, we are expecting an array of fresh options as the company pushes for a revamped design and look. More details will emerge as the launch date approaches.
So, that’s good news. The Galaxy S25 series is not bringing massive upgrades – other than the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is a huge step up from the Exynos 2400 that Europeans got in their S24 and S24+ phones – but there are a number of important minor upgrades too. For example, the small S-phone will finally get 12GB of RAM (but base storage will still be 128GB), the two bigger models could get 16GB in some configurations. The S25 Ultra is getting a new 50MP ultra-wide camera, the other cameras will be essentially unchanged. The battery and charging options won’t see any major shifts, unless the rumor of Qi2 wireless charging support pans out.
