Hannah and Damien were high school sweethearts who 'became official' in Year 13 and have been together ever since.
Their engagement story couldn't be any more romantic, with Damien popping the question under the Eiffel Tower while the couple were holidaying in Paris.
On returning to New Zealand, the pair wed in an 'outdoor chapel' in Wairarapa.
We'll let Hannah fill you in on the rest.
HOW DID YOU MEET? We met in high school and have been together for eight years. We were friends all throughout school, and in year 13 officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. We have been together ever since!
TELL US ABOUT THE PROPOSAL: We got engaged under the Eiffel Tower while on holiday in Paris. On that night it had been 8 degrees and raining and I had wanted to go back to the hotel, but Damien was insistent that we stay and watch the sunset(getting very cold and wet in the process). He then got down on one knee and popped the question, and I of course said yes.
LOCATION OF WEDDING:We got married at The Landing, a stunningly beautiful venue in the Wairarapa
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING DAY: It was truly the best day of my life! We got married in a beautiful 'outdoor chapel', in the middle of grape vines in front of 60 guests who shared our special day. We had our photos taken around the farm, while our guests enjoyed canapes and lawn games. Once we were back we danced the night away with our band who were also my colleagues! We were incredibly lucky with the weather, after two weeks of rain, it was 32 degrees and a cloudless day. There was nothing I would do differently.
THE DRESS: My dress is from Emily's Bridal in Palmerston North. I couldn't decide between two of her designs, so she offered to create a whole new dress, incorporating both dresses. It was custom made, and fit perfectly.
THE FLOWERS: My flowers were by Wild Rose in Otaki - they were so beautiful.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEDDING: It is so hard to think of a single highlight! I really loved every moment. But up there would be dancing all night with all my closest friends and family, and of course, officially becoming Mr and Mrs!
WAS THERE ANY DRAMA? Not really, the day went very smoothly. The only potential drama was that I dropped my dress of at a dry-cleaners the day before to be steamed, and forgot to go pick it up! Luckily one of my great friends saved the day and rushed down to get it as soon as they opened in the morning.
THE HONEYMOON: Next month we head off for a three week trip around America. We are travelling to San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York and Cancun.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER AND FAVOURITE PHOTO? We used Think Visual for our photographer and videographer. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. They arrived first thing in the morning, and didn't leave until after the first dance. I have many favourites, but two of them are the one of us in the grove of trees, and the one of us dancing in the field.Read more at:bridesmaid dresses sydney | vintage bridesmaid dresses
