Spring has sprung and Jen Hawkins has the details.

　　With spring well and truly here, who better to approach with all our fashion and beauty-related questions than Jennifer Hawkins?

　　As the face of Myer, Hawkins has become our ultimate icon-slash-model-muse, dishing out advice on everything from green smoothies to racing carnival season outfits.

　　Now, we've gone to Hawkins for some much-needed spring dressing outfit advice.

　　So what are her top tips for transitioning between the seasons, and making that switch from coats to cossies?

　　“I love when spring comes around, as I can wear some lighter fabrics, like a light cotton jacket or shirt, over a short dress or jeans. Maxi dresses are also great for spring and I love being able to add a new season Cozi hat to my outfit,” she says, proving layering still works in spring, but it’s all about the fabrics.

　　As for trends, Hawkins is all natural this season — taking cues from the 70s-inspired wave sweeping runways of late, citing boho as her style of choice.

　　“I'm loving romantic dresses with embroidery, fringing and wide bell sleeves. We shot a beautiful floaty white Morrison dress in the Myer Spring 17 campaign that I loved, and a new brand, We Are Kindred, is also going to be my go-to for that relaxed boho beach outfit this season."

　　"I'm also loving incorporating bright colours, prints and embellishments. Asilio, Mossman and Talulah are perfect for that this season. It's a look that I love for summer nights or have to fun with it at the spring races!"

　　With colours, Hawkins is all about crispness, completing a fresh overall look.

　　"Fresh neutral colours, such as nudes, white and champagnes with lace, linen and silk fabrics are big this season – all of which I'm so into for summer."

　　Hawkins, who is opening Vogue Festival alongside Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edwina McCann in Rundle Mall as part of Adelaide Fashion Festival, proves the best supermodel-approved spring outfit might just be revealed during her walk down the runway — an event even she admits is a big deal.

　　"I have heard it's the biggest fashion show ever held in the Adelaide store - no pressure! It gives me such a buzz to walk in front of hundreds of excited customers – the atmosphere is amazing!"

　　Of course, it wouldn’t be spring without a few beauty adjustments. For Hawkins, it’s all about the lip.

　　"Beauty looks this spring should be really fresh. Bold lipstick in red, pink or coral is very in this season. To lengthen and tone [my body], nothing beats Pilates and I try to do one to two sessions a week after work, plus at home yoga, if I have time."
