The new head of the Environmental Protection Agency just did something infuriating. Scott Pruitt, Trump's appointed EPA administrator, dismissed at least five members of the agency's major scientific review board, the New York Times reports. A spokesman for Pruitt said he'd potentially replace the "academic scientists" with "representatives from industries whose pollution the agency is supposed to regulate." It's not good, considering the board is responsible for reviewing and evaluating research from EPA scientists, which can then affect government regulations on things like hazardous waste disposal and carbon emissions. It's all seemingly part of the Trump administration's push to decrease the agency's regulatory power as a means to expand coal, oil, and gas production. As the new head of the EPA, Pruitt—who's not a scientist and has sued the very agency he's now running 14 times—has publicly questioned that humans have caused climate change. But actual scientists maintain that humans have, in fact, contributed to climate change.

Coach just bought Kate Spade because #purses. Coach shelled out a cool $2.4 billion to buy the Kate Spade brand. You might ask: What's the difference between the two? Coach purses tend to retail for $285 to $3,000, while Kate Spade is usually a cheaper option between $100 to $500. Moving forward, Coach hopes to expand both brands globally. Fun fact: Coach also bought Stuart Weitzman in 2015, so this is just the latest in their fashion acquisitions.
Instagram’s new #HereForYou campaign wants you to 'gram about your mental health.Instagram launched a new campaign today focused on mental health awareness. Titled #HereForYou, the video and Instagram Stories campaign focuses on real Instagram community members talking about about their experiences with mental health issues, including eating disorders and depression. Pretty Little Liars actress Troian Bellisario is also a face of the campaign, speaking out about her experience with an eating disorder. The campaign encourages people to share their own mental health story using #HereForYou to help start a global conversation and create a supportive community. It's a smart campaign—and a necessary one, considering one in five adults in the U.S. experience a mental illness in a given year, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
France now requires models to get a doctor's certificate and magazines to label retouched photos. France is finally making good on the law they passed in 2015 to help combat body image issues and disordered eating. The law, which is in effect as of this month, requires models to get a doctor's certificate that states they're in good physical health and not too thin based on their weight, age, and body shape. And starting on October 1, digitally altered photos—aka retouched photos—will have to include a label that says the person in the image is retouched.
13 Reasons Why is getting a second season—despite criticism. Selena Gomez took to Instagram yesterday to announce that the Netflix series she co-produced, 13 Reasons Why, is getting a second season. The show has attracted a devoted following—but also intense criticism for how it portrays rape and suicide. Mental health experts have previously told SELF that the series glamorizes suicide, which could potentially lead to copycat suicide attempts. In light of criticism, Netflix recently added more trigger warnings to the series.
This is the most incredible wedding photoshoot you'll ever see—because it's literally on Mt. Everest. A truly do-anything-for-Instagram couple recently spent three weeks hiking up Mt. Everest to get married at a base camp 17,000 feet above sea level. Friends and family didn't make the trek—but an "adventure wedding photographer" did. The photos will have you looking like a scream emoji. Check out all the incredible images from their journey here.
