If you are looking for a day of fun and community, then look no further! The annual High South Wedding event is coming to Blowing Rock on April 23 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in partnership with SAVOR Blowing Rock. This event will allow brides, and of course, their friends and families, to meet many of the local vendors in the area in an open and stress-free environment.

Registration will be at the tent entrance located at the Maple Street parking lot just off Main Street. Tickets are $10 with complimentary mimosas at the door ($5 for designated drivers & under 21). You and your entourage can meet one-on-one with Florists, DJs, Bakers, Venues, Photographers, Planners, Caterers, and more!

This event will host over thirty vendors coming together from the High Country in an effort to help Brides plan their perfect days, or if they already have everything planned out, get inspired with new creative ideas! This event will highlight not only all the services that the High Country has to offer but the kind and supportive community members that will be there every step of the way. Elizabeth Hempfling, President of High South Event Professionals, says “Any bride local or destination, can leave this event knowing that they have wonderful people at their fingertips to help.”

High South Event Professionals have striven to make this year’s expo as accessible as possible as they state: “The goal is to provide a visually pleasing space to give ideas and give a wide selection of vendors. It really is to show brides the potential of how many things the High Country offers as resources. From unique venues to vintage rentals, we really cover the whole gamut about making it a fun and welcoming event!” The partnership with SAVOR of Blowing Rock is a unique opportunity that the High South Event Professionals could not pass up! The event itself, in accordance with this new partnership, is changing their location “Every year we look for a venue with a unique value and personality for the event, this past year we were offered an opportunity to partner with SAVOR and propose them to use it on Sunday, the final day.”

Most importantly, The Back to School Festival is the beneficiary of the event this year, meaning a portion of everything that is made will be donated to them. The goal, above all else in this event, is giving back to the community which they are hoping to achieve by bringing it right back to the start with the kids.

Hempfling claimed that this is the best part of hosting these events every year, she said, “The reward itself is to see the collaboration between vendors all coming together to create such a fantastic event. To see a bride be more confident and relaxed in her wedding and know that she is in good hands, that is our mission. We strive to create a “full circle of love”, returning everything we make back to our community. Allowing us to do this, bring it back to the kids and any other organizations vendors work with allow us to be a positive force in our community.”
