The Colts plan to push for extra points in a way that is truly crazy.

Stan Kroenke has a fancy new stadium to impress his fellow owners on this week. No decisions about the Rams (or either the Chargers (or the Raiders) moving are anticipated. There will be an overview by Madden NFL 24 executive Eric Grubman followed by a discussion with the owners.

The Rams' owner clearly has an advantage in the race to L.A., but the Chargers don't make it easy for the owner to win. This could be an opportunity to get the owners making a deal where everyone wins ... everybody, excluding which city loses a team.

Breakfast with coaches

On Tuesday , the AFC coaches are forced to a buffet breakfast and they are required to speak to journalists for an hour. Cameras and lights around Bill Belichick's table will crowd out any poor slob sitting next to him. The star still draws crowds even though he does not talk about anything. There's likely to be plenty chairs at Ken Whisenhunt's table But Ken would likely enjoy the company, so bring your bowl of oatmeal to the table!

The NFC coaches will be on their own every Wednesday. I'm hoping Chip Kelly eats beforehand, because his table will be very popular. I'm heading to Jim Tomsula's table because I think it will be fun (nobody is going to talk about the eggs that are in Tomsula's moustache).

A Nicer Football League

Last year at these meetings and the Madden NFL 24 team was focussed on making the field a better place to work and play (before all those other PR issues hit). The competition committee banned goalspot celebrations and pledged to put a stop to insults and rude behavior. I'm anxious to hear how that went for them.

Personal offenses are on the menu this year too. Tennessee and Washington will make the personal fouls possible to review.

Investigations

The Madden NFL 24 features many open investigation options than Magnum P.I. ; DeflateGate, Falcons artificial crowd noiseGate Jets-Revis tamperingGate as well as Cleveland Browns textGate. None of these gates are going to be closed this week during the meetings. (It takes time to close them, and T.C. does not have a helicopter to transfer league officials between various islands , and Magnum hasn't yet helped coach his young baseball team the way he promised to).

We could also receive an update on either or both of these investigations, possibly in the form of an expertly crafted talk point like, "we take these matters extremely seriously and are taking our time in the issue."

The sad story of USC quarterbacks in the Madden NFL 24

Within the Super Bowl era, USC quarterbacks have been awarded six national titles and 22 conference championships. Yet no USC player has been a part of an Super Bowl.

The rift in the transition of Southern Cal to the Madden NFL 24 appears to be programmed through generational lines: Rob Johnson and Rodney Peete experienced similarly long careers traversing the backwaters of Madden NFL 24's less profitable franchises. Paul McDonald and Sean Salisbury were also less successful. And long before Matt Leinart or Todd Marinovich were first-round failures, the Chiefs utilized their top pick with Pete Beathard, who bounced through the Madden NFL 24 throughout a decade, never completing the majority of his passes within one season. These professional teams are often located in cities with imperfect climate and a media less likely to be awestruck by an edgy young man who's been groomed from puberty, to make the right choice for the job. Palmer, Leinart, and Sanchez have all made millions of dollars through Madden NFL 24. but each has been victimized by an injury and bad luck, ineffective coaching, on-field errors and sexually sexy Jacuzzi parties.

The pass is beautiful the length of the parabolic curve that smacks Chris Henry in stride on the right sideline for an impressive 66 yards. It was the opening move of the Wild Card game against the Steelers and is the longest passing play to date in Bengals playoff history, and also the conclusion of Palmer's short career as an elite professional quarterback. It's not that Palmer isn't performing well after when he recovered quickly and played all 16 games in the next season (no problem; just talk to Robert Griffin III) and even made the Pro Bowl.
