A well-known gaming smartphone manufacturer, ZTE, has launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Nubia Music 2. The company’s new music-oriented smartphone features a 2.1-channel audio system with a total of three full-range speakers. According to ZTE, the phone’s DTS:X Ultra setup can produce a maximum volume of 95 dB. Additionally, the phone also supports spatial audio.
Speaking about design, the smartphone looks very similar to its predecessor, the Nubia Music, albeit with a few tweaks. For example, the predecessor features two 3.5 mm audio jacks, but the sequel now only comes with a single 3.5 mm audio jack. Another new addition is LED strips, which shine alongside your music tunes.
The Music 2 smartphone is equipped with a low-performance Unisoc T7200 chipset (a rebrand of the original Unisoc T606), paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with no room for storage expansion. It runs on Android U out of the box, and there’s no word on software support, indicating software updates may never arrive.
This affordable smartphone comes with 50 MP primary camera and 5 MP selfie camera on the front. It comes with a 6.7-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Most importantly, the phone comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10 W wired charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, VoLTE support, up to 8 GB of RAM expansion, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi and NFC.
The Nubia Music 2 can be ordered in Malaysia via Shopee and Lazada online stores for 389 Malaysian Ringgit (~$87/€75). ZTE offers two color options for this music phone: Pop Art and Melody Wave.
