Sony Electronics has unveiled its latest flagship full-frame mirrorless camera, the Alpha 1 II, the successor to the 2021 Alpha 1. Combining high resolution, unrivalled speed, and cutting-edge AI capabilities, the Alpha 1 II is designed to set a new benchmark for professional photographers and videographers in a wide range of applications, including photojournalism, wildlife, sports, and commercial photography.

The AI technology includes new pose estimation capabilities for tracking human movements, as well as automatic subject recognition.
High-Speed Performance
With blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30 fps and 120 AF/AE calculations per second, the Alpha 1 II is ideal for high-speed scenarios like sports and wildlife photography.

Separately, Sony's smartphone division recently introduced a red ‘Scarlet’ version of its flagship Xperia 1 VI to the European market, which was previously only available in Japan. The camera-centric smartphone features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48MP 1/1.3.5-inch Exymor T primary sensor and two 12MP secondary sensors.
