The ANFR's investigation has revealed that radio frequencies in the area were being blocked by a mobile phone jammer, a device that is illegal in several European countries, including France.

During the early hours of the morning, around 1:30 am, a technician successfully traced the signal's origin to a dwelling located in the coastal town. The subsequent day, accompanied by law enforcement, investigators approached the man's residence and politely requested entry. Without hesitation, the individual readily confessed to employing a multi-band jammer.

As per the ANFR, the father of the family had installed a jamming wifi to prevent his teenagers from using their smartphones to connect to the internet instead of going to sleep. The motivation behind this decision was the children's addiction to social networks and other applications. After seeking guidance from internet forums, the father determined that a jammer would be the most effective solution to tackle his kids' excessive screen time.
