Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in China. on 27 November, its sub-brand Redmi will launch the Redmi K80 series for the Chinese market. Today, the brand released the following poster to confirm the chipset powering the Redmi K80 Pro.
Redmi K80 Pro’s chipset officially confirmed
The Redmi K80 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and the gaming-specific D1 independent graphics chip. This potent combination has achieved an impressive AnTuTu benchmark score of 3,194,766, underscoring its exceptional performance capabilities.
The Dimensity 9300 Plus-powered Redmi K70 Ultra, which was unveiled in China a few months ago, is the first phone to feature a D1 graphics chip. In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Elite and D1 chips, the K80 Pro also features Game Engine 4.0, which supports 2K Super Resolution and 120fps Super Frame Concurrency for all games.
The Redmi K80 series will arrive with a CSOT 2K M9 flat screen with a peak brightness of 1800 nits, enhancing outdoor visibility while reducing power consumption by 20.3%, making it both bright and energy efficient. Additionally, the series incorporates hardware-level DC dimming and circular polarization technology to alleviate eye strain, along with the AON Intelligent Eye Protection feature, which uses the front camera to monitor user eye behavior and provide appropriate reminders.
In terms of design, the Redmi K80 Pro showcases meticulous craftsmanship with a light mist dual-work integration process, enhancing refinement by 2.5 times. It adopts Xiaomi’s screen routing technology, achieving an ultra-narrow 1.9mm bottom bezel and a nearly perfect 50:50 golden weight distribution. Notably, it is Redmi’s first device with a seamless top design.
The K80 Pro also introduces Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0, an upgraded ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that promises quick and accurate wet-hand recognition. In addition, the K80 series is IP68/IP69 dust and water resistant.
