EA Sports FC 24 continues to be a commercial crown jewel for EA(0)

Despite increasing criticism from fans and critics alike for its negligence of single-player modes and reliance on microtransactions, EA Sports FC 22 continues to be a commercial crown jewel for EA. The latest entry in the long-running franchise continues to EA FC 24 Coins dominate sales charts, especially in the United Kingdom.

Even though Google Stadia quickly became a very easy punchline not long after it released (and it's only got worse following Google's decision to shut down its first-party studios), that doesn't mean major game releases have skipped over it. Though EA's latest entry in its football sim series came to consoles towards the end of last year, it has announced that EA Sports FC 22 will be available on Stadia from March 17th. This is also part of an effort to expand the franchise, following EA announcing a multi-year extension to the UEFA license. This essentially means EA will continue to have exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup tournaments.

EA is aiming to make its free-to-download PC game EA Sports FC Online 4 more widely available. For those who have never heard of it, that's because it's currently only available in Asia, but EA plans to release it in 15 other countries, including Russia, Poland, and Turkey. The publisher has multiple "mobile offerings" in development as well, but hasn't extrapolated on what these might be or when they're expected to release.

Though EA Sports FC 22 has been an undeniable financial success for EA, the game is not without its critics. Some players are convinced that EA has been deliberately making the game's Ultimate Team mode more difficult in order to encourage players into spending more money on loot boxes (itself already still a controversial practice).

EA Sports FC 22 has officially announced its Team of the Year (TOTY) for the last calendar year, and EA Sports FC Ultimate Team players will have a chance to unpack these incredibly rare and high stat player cards in the coming days. While these specific player cards will only be in packs for a limited time, this is the time of year many Ultimate Team players wait to finish up filling out their team, since the TOTY cards generally have the highest stats in the game.

During the last year, the best players were nominated based on their performances. In the end, 70 nominees were accepted for nomination, and according to the EA Sports FC 22 website over ten million votes were cast to determine the final eleven TOTY candidates.

The TOTY forwards are Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus, Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich, and Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germaine. The EA FC 24 Coins for sale TOTY midfielders are Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City, and Joshua Kimmich of Bayern Munich.
