NAOMI CAMPBELL CALLS OUT LACK OF DIVERSITY AT BRITISH VOGUE(0)

The supermodel has sparked a debate on Instagram.

Naomi Campbell is taking issue with British Vogue for the lack of diversity in its staff.

"This is the staff photo of @britishvogue under the previous editor #AlexandraSchulman," the supermodel captioned alongside an image of VogueU.K.'s employees from the magazine's September issue, also the final issue for exiting editor Alexandra Schulman, who's been with the glossy for more than 25 years.

She added: "Looking forward to an inclusive and diverse staff now that @edward_enninful is the editor." Campbell is joining British Vogue under incoming chief editor Edward Enninful as a contributing editor, along with fellow supermodel Kate Moss, English filmmaker Steve McQueen and Vogue creative director at large Grace Coddington. Enninful, who will be the first male editor of British Vogue, has also appointed legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath as beauty editor-at-large.

The post sparked intense reaction from her fans. Follower @fashionf_94x responded, "It's disappointing that such a huge fashion magazine had such a non diverse staff. I mean wow, not ONE non white face? How tragic. Especially when people of color have contributed indelibly to the fashion industry." Meanwhile, many also expressed excitement over what Enninful has to offer to the publication. "Time for Eddie to bring Vogue into this century!!!!" exclaimed @mikkirosed, adding a couple of flame emojis for emphasis.

If Enninful's recent brand collaborations are any indication of what's to come, the new pages of Vogue are likely to be as diverse as the "Bridging the Gap" campaign, which starred Priyanka Chopra, Christie Brinkley, Alek Wek, Wiz Khalifa and more boldfacers, and the 2018 Pirelli calendar, which featured an all-black cast that included Lupita Nyong'o, RuPaul and Whoopi Goldberg.
