Saturday Night Live pokes fun at TV fashion panels trying to cover the Golden Globes red carpet

Saturday Night Live returned to US TV screens last night (January 13) and it wasn't long before they were delivering their own satirical slant on the biggest news of the movement.

Like, for example, the Golden Globes and its star-studded audience of celebrities all dressed in black in support of the #MeToo movement and its spiritual successor #TimesUp.

In one of the show's skits last night, guest host Sam Rockwell and SNL regulars Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon took aim at TV fashion panels (and E! in particular) in a spoof that sees them discussing all the fashion choices at the Golden Globes.

"Welcome to The Look, E!'s red carpet rundown where we are now fashion positive," Cecily Strong's Rochelle Koontz character kicks off the sketch. "The times are changing and we're trying to keep up!"

The sketch quickly moved along to reference E! News host Catt Sadler's leaving the networkafter learning she was paid less than her male co-star, as Rochelle's co-host Dean Swizz (Rockwell) is introduced.
