The next generation of flagship gaming laptops is on the horizon, and a new leak reveals what users can expect from one of
Clevo's finest 18-inch models. Featuring a 4K display, 192 GB RAM, Thunderbolt 5, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000, this ODM model is expected to offer great features.
Laptop manufacturer TerransForce, which is mainly based in China, has just released a short teaser video for a new 18-inch gaming laptop with 192 GB RAM and a 4K display, set to be officially unveiled at CES in January. According to information from reliable leaker @94G8LA, the device is a gaming laptop based on the Clevo X580.
This is interesting not least because Clevo devices are also sold in Europe and in the USA via independent retailers such as Xotic PC or XMG. The leaker has published a data sheet for the laptop: with a height of around 2.8 centimeters (1.10 inches) and a weight of 3.6 kilograms (7.9 pounds), it is not a compact gaming laptop at all, but with an Intel Arrow Lake-HX CPU with a PBP of 55 watts and a Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 GPU, it is likely to be one of the fastest laptops on the market.
While the spec sheet does not provide any further details on the GPU options, the top model is likely to be equipped with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 16 GB GDDR7 VRAM. There are also four M.2 2280 SSDs, one of which is connected via PCIe 5.0 x4, up to 192 GB DDR5 5,600 RAM and an 18-inch display in 16:10 format, optionally with 4K or 1,600p resolution. The 98 Wh battery is charged via a hollow plug power supply with 330 watts or via USB-C with a maximum of 100 watts.
The Clevo X580 also comes fully equipped in terms of connectivity, including WiFi 7, two Thunderbolt 5 ports with GPU support, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, two USB-A ports (10 Gbit/s), Ethernet and a headphone jack. The two speakers are supported by two dedicated subwoofers. Finally, the 5MP webcam comes with a privacy shutter and supports Windows Hello.
Pricing information about the Clevo X580 has not yet been announced and should be confirmed at the latest at CES.
