We are approaching the next Unpacked event, and as usual, all the smartphone surprises that Samsung harbored have been spoiled by leaks. Granted, it’s a bit shaky to put all your faith in leaks. But what about some unceremonious web upload from one of the world’s top accessories brands?
Today, we’re focusing on the entry-level Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Ultra model. Just what are the key upgrades, and will it be worth paying more? Here are the biggest Galaxy S25 Ultra vs Galaxy S25 expected differences.
Samsung seems to be taking a bold step with this ultra-thin device, targeting users who crave portability without completely giving up flagship features. A recent leak from Jukanlosreve on X has added some fresh details about the camera tech that could make this sleek design possible.

The only refinement is reserved for the Ultra version, which loses its signature sharp corners and goes with a slightly rounded approach. It’s not quite the dramatic corner radius that Apple has maintained across iPhones, iPads, and Macs over the years, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra still stands out.
While much of this is still speculation based on leaks, one thing we can be absolutely certain about is that the regular Galaxy S25 will be cheaper than the Ultra version.
How much more is the big question. In 2024, the regular Galaxy S24 started at $799, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra was $1,299. In an ideal world, this will remain static in 2025, but the price of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite is said to have jumped considerably, so it would be unsurprising to see a price rise for both.
One of the biggest headaches with designing super-thin smartphones has always been the camera. How do you fit a top-tier camera system into a slim body without making the whole thing bulky? Well, Samsung thinks it has the answer with its new ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) technology.
If done right, the Galaxy S25 Slim could hit the sweet spot for people who prioritize portability but still want a phone that performs like a flagship. It’s a gamble, sure, but it’s shaping up to be one of the more exciting launches of 2025 as it is something new-ish. Only time will tell if this experiment pays off or ends up as just another curiosity in the smartphone world.
